School Group Tours

Tour the 1806 mansion and discover the stories of Christopher and Rebecca Gore, their household, and the events of the Federal Period.

Enjoy the self-guided tour of the grounds with “My Farm at Waltham”, visit the animals at the 1835 farmer's cottage, and see the carriages in the 1795 carriage house.

The themes of politics, refinement, and work are woven throughout the tour. Tours, outdoor and indoor, can be customized to your curriculum. We can focus on Architecture, Technology, Decorative Arts, 19th century Farming, Habitats, Jane Austen and MORE!

Picnic on the grounds before or after the tour!

20 people maximum per tour. Multiple tours can be given at the same time. Two chaperones for every 10 students admitted at no charge. Additional chaperones pay regular adult admission.
