daily mansion tours and
Take A Walk activity will
not be available on those

tour Wined & Dined

held on Friday evening at

1pm tour will be available

Planning your visit to the Gore Place
The early 18oos estate of
Massachusetts Governor Christopher
Gore includes a small farm with
sheep, goats and poultry. The elegantly
furnished mansion has been called “the Monticello of
the North” and architectural historians
consider it to be the most significant
Federal period mansion in New England.
Mansion tour schedule:
Tours are
available Monday
through Friday at
1pm, year-round.
Also, Saturdays &
Sundays at 12, 1,
2 & 3pm April 15
through November
15*.
*Tours are not
be available during special
events and some holidays
including: Sheepshearing
Day ( April 28, 2007),
Christmas Day, New
Year's Day, Independence
Day and Thanksgiving
Day.
ADMISSION*:
$10 adults, $5 for
children 5-12. Gore
Place members free.
AAA, WGBH ,
MTA, and AARP members $1-off adult
admission.

The Museum Shop is
open during regular office hours Monday through
Friday 9am-4pm.
Directions
Gore Place is located at 52 Gore Street in
Waltham, Massachusetts just off Route 20. From
I-90 (Mass Pike) take exit 17 to Watertown Square.
Turn left onto Route 20 (Main Street). Travel
1~1/4 miles to Gore Street. From Route 128/I-95
exit 26 to Route 20 east (Main Street) 3~1/2 miles
to Gore Street
