High Strung Strummers
Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.

The High Strung Strummers is a high-energy duo, specializing in the old-time dance music of Appalachia and Anglo-American ballads. Sarah Jane Nelson is a multi-instrumentalist and storyteller. She plays traditional music for folk festivals, New England contra dances, and other regional events. Cathy Mason is a highly accomplished fiddler and music instructor who has spent nearly two decades studying Southern fiddle music with the masters of that tradition.

While we do not allow food or drink in our venues during concerts, we welcome visitors to picnic on our grounds beforehand. Please no alcohol. Please plan to carry out all trash.

Carriage House Concerts offer great performances in an intimate setting. All summer concerts take place in our open-sided Century Tent unless weather conditions require moving to our Carriage House. In either case, seating will be socially-distanced and the capacity of each venue will be no more than 60% of the space. If concerts are moved to the Carriage House, masks will be required for attendees but optional for performers. Otherwise, masks are encouraged but not required during the event.

If you or someone in your group needs an accommodation to more fully participate in this event, please contact us before registering.

Cost: $21 general admission, $19 members, $16 students
