For more than 80 years, Gore Place has received vital support from members. In fact, members have been saving Gore Place since the very beginning in 1935.

That year, a plan was nearly carried out to demolish the Mansion and build new housing on the land. Thankfully, a group of preservation-minded Bostonians saw the value in saving the land and the beautiful Gore Mansion. They raised the money to preserve the estate for the future and formed Gore Place Society.

These founders were the first members of Gore Place. We’ve relied on our members ever since. We hope you will be part of this proud tradition.
